HCCF Fall Grant Cycle - Now Open

Got a project that could make Huron County an even better place? The Huron County Community Foundation wants to hear about it. Our grant application is now open, and we're inviting local nonprofits, schools, municipalities, and community groups to apply for funding that helps turn good ideas into real, lasting impact.

What We're Looking to Fund

We encourage ALL eligible organizations to apply. Projects that fall into one or more of the following Strategic Priority areas will be given preference for our unrestricted grantmaking dollars:

  • Retaining and attracting a talented, trained workforce

  • Creating vibrant and dynamic communities

  • Cultivating an environment for business development

That said, HCCF holds funds across a wide range of interests, and we encourage applications addressing any of these areas as well:

  • Arts and Culture

  • Basic Needs Services

  • Beautification of Huron County

  • Disadvantaged Youth

  • Education

  • Health & Medicine

  • Natural Areas Preservation

  • Recreation

  • Women in STEM

If your project enhances life in Huron County, we want to hear about it!

How to Apply

Applying is straightforward, and we've streamlined the application to make it easier to complete from start to finish:

  1. Fill out the General Information form — your organization's details, project overview, budget snapshot, and contacts.

  2. Answer the Project Narrative questions — tell us about your project's purpose, your organization's history, who's involved, how you'll measure success, and your budget. (Prefer to attach your own Excel budget worksheet instead of typing it in? That works too — just note "See attached" and include the file.)

  3. Save your completed application as a single PDF and email it to Mackenzie at mackenzie@huroncounty.com.

Remember: only one application per organization will be considered per grant cycle.

Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: Friday, August 20 by 4:30 p.m.

  • Public Award Announcement: Thursday, September 11 at the HCCF Annual Celebration

Applications received after the deadline cannot be considered, so mark your calendars now.
