Grant Opportunity for Ubly Educators - Nancy Orr Elliott Memorial Educator Fund

The family of Nancy Orr Elliott established the Nancy Orr Elliott Memorial Educator Fund at the Huron County Community Foundation (HCCF). The fund was created to continue the legacy of Nancy Elliott's investment in her students and in Ubly Community Schools. The fund will support educators as they enhance the academic experience of K-12 students at Ubly Community Schools.

Any Ubly Community Schools educator is eligible to apply. Grants should be used to support student academic success through classroom enhancements, field trips and experiences, or extracurricular activities such as robotics, forensics, debate, or FFA. All Ubly educators that have a request meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.

A preference will be given to projects that demonstrate one or more of the following:

  • A commitment to increasing women's empowerment

  • A focus on meeting students where they are to foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking

  • A focus on cross-disciplinary learning

  • Promoting understanding of perspectives and experiences outside of one's own

  • Encouraging students to become educators

  • Impacting a broad range of students

Maximum award amount this year is $500.
