The HCCF Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is now accepting grant applications for projects that benefit youth in Huron County. Schools, nonprofits, and community organizations are encouraged to apply for funding to support programs and initiatives that make a positive impact on local young people.

The Huron County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee recently partnered with Thumb Blessing Boxes to pack Birthday Kits to be distributed to local schools and service providers across the county to ensure every child has a special birthday.

Do you know a committed, community-minded high school student interested in sharing their ideas and making a countywide impact?! Encourage them to apply for the Huron County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee for the upcoming school year.

YAC members participated in a community service project supporting Fleece and Thank You’s mission of providing children receiving treatment in hospitals with a cozy, colorful blanket.

The Youth Advisory Committee is seeking new members for the 2024-2025 school year. There are current openings for representatives from each of our local high schools. Applications are due September 20.
