The Huron County Community Foundation (HCCF) is accepting nominations for the Huron County Community Philanthropy Award. Created as a part of our 30th anniversary celebration in 2024, the award celebrates our history of humble beginnings and service and impact in Huron County. HCCF was founded in 1994 with the vision of individuals giving together to create a larger community impact. The Huron County Community Philanthropy Award honors a living individual or couple for service as a volunteer, a board member, or a donor who made a significant effort to help grow our community through philanthropy in Huron County.
Nominations will be accepted for a living individual or couple who have demonstrated commitment, leadership, impact, creativity and collaboration through service and philanthropy. “We want to celebrate the generosity that sustains our local non-profit organizations. So many give of their time, talent, and treasure to support and grow these organizations. This is a small way we can celebrate contributions to our community” said HCCF Executive Director, Mackenzie Price.
If you know a couple or individual who represents the following, we encourage you to nominate them for this recognition:
Commitment: Have they served Huron County nonprofit organizations?
Leadership: Have they demonstrated volunteer leadership through serving on a board or heading up service projects?
Impact: Have they made a difference in Huron County through giving their time, talent, or treasure?
Creativity: Have they come up with creative solutions to challenges?
Collaboration: Have they worked together with others to create a bigger impact?
Nominations are due August 15, 2025 and can be emailed to mackenzie@huroncounty.com or mailed to Huron County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 56 Bad Axe, MI 48413. An HCCF committee will review and select the award winner.
