2027 Huron County Comeback Internship Program
The Huron County Comeback Internship Program is a paid summer internship program that matches current college students from Huron County with local employers. Huron County Community Foundation (HCCF) and the Huron County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) are preparing for year two and opening applications earlier, so students and employers have more time to build a strong match for next summer.
The Comeback Internship Program is built to connect homegrown college talent with paid internships at local employers who are actively looking to invest in the next generation of their workforce. Too many local students assume they'll have to leave Huron County to build the career they want; our goal is to challenge that misconception.
How It Works
Students apply to the Comeback Program. Students provide information about their prior experience, current college major, and desired placements.
HCCF and the EDC review student applications and select which students move forward to placement.
Employers can submit a form to express interest in a 2027 student placement. Employers must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for a placement.
HCCF and EDC match students with employers and facilitate introductions
Matches are made. Agreements are signed. Students and employers officially join the 2027 Cohort.
For Students
Come home for the summer, get paid, and see the opportunities available in Huron County.
Who can apply: Current college students who are originally from Huron County.
What is in the application: We will ask about your college major, previous work experience, what you are seeking from an internship, and any preferences on type of industry or employer. We will also ask you to upload your most recent resume.
When should you apply: Now! The interest form is available now. For best considerations, students should apply by October 14; however, the application will remain open until all spots are filled.
What is the timeline: We hope to provide students with an applications status update by the end of October.
