Fall Grant Cycle Now Open!

The Huron County Community Foundation has over $22,000 available for 2015 grants! Last year the Foundation supported projects like the Thumb Quilt Trail and the Ubly Robotics teams and are looking for more applicants this year. "We would like to continue to devote our resources to our Strategic Priority areas, much like we did with last year's grant cycle," said HCCF Executive Director, Mackenzie Price. The Strategic Priorities Price is referencing came from a 2014 survey of community stakeholders and are listed below

Current Priorities

  • Placemaking
  • Downtowns
  • Career pathways towards college or skilled trades
  • Attracting college graduates to come back home
  • Tourism with an emphasis on agritourism, farmer’s markets, orchards, wineries, etc.
  • Bike Trails
  • Farmer’s Markets
  • Community Funds
  • Reverse Scholarships

Price added, "There are always meaningful and impactful projects submitted to our grant cycle and we are hoping for even more this year.
